Why and what for?

Prayer at Vale Community Church Any time we spend together in prayer builds not only a Kingdom perspective in us but strengthens our unity and relationships together – both of which are essential ingredients of a growing church.  Prayer is the most exciting aspect of being a Christian, because it puts us in contact with the One who holds the key to LIFE!  Prayer is vital to the life of the church. Our desire is that prayer plays a central part in all we do and at each of our meetings.

Prayer over Marston Vale
As a team we have committed to praying over the Vale of Marston from various high-points four times a year to include New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday.  Steve Gaunt has also committed to praying over the Vale every Wednesday lunchtime.  Our hearts desire is to see God’s Spirit flooding through the Vale bringing salvation and healing.

Lifting the Veil

Vale Community Church along with other churches in the Marston Vale share a vision of bringing together Christians from all denominations in the Marston Vale to pray in and for our communities.  We believe that prayer will change the spiritual climate in our communities and our faith inspired actions will bring transformation to those communities. As we proclaim Christ and Him crucified, He will draw people to Himself.  Find out more on our Lifting the Veil page.

Prayer walking around Marston Moretaine

Each one of the team has been given a number of roads in the village to prayer walk. We have committed to prayer around the village six times a year going out in our small groups. As we walk around the village, we voice specific prayers for what we see - or don’t see. We pray for families, the school, the other churches, the nursing home and businesses. Sometimes we pray for particular people we see, they don’t know us or that we are praying for them, but God does. He knows the needs in their lives better than we do.

Prayer for those who attend Sunday Brunch

Each one of the team has also committed to praying on a weekly basis for those who come along to Sunday Brunch and Sunday Supplement.  We also pray in to prayer requests that have been posted in our Prayer Box during Sunday Brunch and Sunday Supplement.

Praying with other Church Leaders

We have started regularly meeting and praying together with the leaders from Lidlington and Wootton New Life churches to support and encourage each other.  We pray for each other, issues/concerns we face, the life of our churches and for the people who live in the Vale of Marston.

Would you like prayer?
It is our desire that anyone who would like to be prayed for has that opportunity. If you would like us to pray for you or a situation that affects you, please go to our Prayer Requests page.
