Prayer over Marston Vale
For more pictures from New Year's Day 2011 please look under 'Photos' in the menu.
“I love the Lord because he hears and answers my prayers. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath.”  Psalm 116:1-2 (NLT)

“Prayer is a priceless gift. A matchless opportunity, it transforms people, pressures, problems, situations and relationships.”  (Quote from “Dangerous Praying” by David Spriggs)

Vale Community Church along with other churches in the Marston Vale share a vision of bringing together Christians from all denominations in the Marston Vale to pray in and for our communities. We believe that prayer will change the spiritual climate in our communities and our faith inspired actions will bring transformation to those communities. As we proclaim Christ and Him crucified, He will draw people to Himself.

We believe that God has a promise for Marston Vale...“And you will be given a new name by the Lord’s own mouth.  The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see a splendid crown in the hand of God.  Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or the “Desolate Land”.  Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight.”  (Isaiah 62:2-4)

God is calling His people to come together and pray for the Marston Vale. On New Year's Day this year, about 20 people from Vale Community, Wootton New Life and Stewartby Churches joined together to walk from Ampthill Park to Houghton House (John Bunyan's House Beautiful) to pray over Marston Vale before returning to our cars for hot drinks and nibbles. Churches from Marston, Lidlington, Wootton and Stewartby were out again praying over Marston Vale early on Easter Day.
