Accountability Groups
 |
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Heb. 11:24-25)
Accountability groups are not a new concept, John Wesley and the early Methodists used them over 200 years ago.
To experience true accountability, we have both the responsibility to ask each other hard and to-the-point questions. Our goal must be not just to help each other feel good, but to help each other be good. The point is not legalism, but checking in with each other in a meaningful way.
We have split ourselves up into same sex groups of 3-4 people and each time we meet we look at certain aspect of FORWARDS to help us move forwards in our faith. To see the questions we use, take a look at our FORWARDS Accountability Questions. |
